As a charge nurse, you will lead and supervise the delivery of exceptional care services during your shift. You will guide and support our nursing staff, ensuring top-quality care, compliance with regulations, and adherence to our facility’s policies. Your role will include providing direct nursing care as outlined in individual care plans and physician orders, with ongoing support and guidance from our administrator, director of nursing, medical director, and consultants.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Communication Skills: Effective written and spoken English
• Supervisory Skills: Proven leadership and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Implement physician’s orders, monitor resident conditions, and provide necessary care and documentation
• Supervision: Ensure compliance with facility policies, assign and oversee staff duties, and provide corrective instruction as needed
• Quality Assurance: Uphold standards of practice, manage emergency situations, and maintain confidentiality
• Professionalism: Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a cooperative attitude in all interactions

Physical and Emotional Requirements:

• Engage in medium to heavy physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs. alone and supporting over 100 lbs. with assistance
• Maintain balance and mobility to perform various nursing tasks
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, even in emotionally charged situations

• Use protective equipment and follow safety protocols to minimize risk of exposure to infections and hazards
